EDUCATION PROGRAM
ART WORKSHOP

This series of classes, developed by the Liu Shiming Art Foundation, is based on the artistic pursuits/beliefs/spirits of the late artist Liu Shiming himself. The aim of this workshop is to provide a chance for participants to gain hands-on experience of making clay sculptures.

Through the process, participants will learn how to translate their abstract ideas into the language of art. Clay, as one of the most beloved mediums that Liu Shiming used for creating artworks, is malleable and easy to use by nature. It requires us to be loose; to release ourselves from judgment; to be engaged in the process of creating, rather than preoccupied with expectations of the final form. The focus of the workshop will be on pre-school and primary school aged children. The workshop works in partnership with communities, schools, and museums.

"Amazing experience!

By participating in the workshop, I can truly relate and connect to so many pieces with joy. Art that can connect with you is the most real art."
