Shahd El Helbawy, a junior at the American University in Cairo (AUC), has been named the first recipient of the Liu Shiming Endowed Scholarship. The Liu Shiming Scholars Fund was established last year at AUC for the purpose of supporting students who show promise in the fields of visual arts, historical studies, art history, and multicultural studies.
