Scholarship Announcement & Sculpture Donation Reveal
An announcement ceremony will be held at the American University in Cairo (AUC), revealing the first Liu Shiming Scholar at AUC and the donation of sculpture “Silk Road” by the renowned Chinese sculptor, Liu Shiming.

About the event
On February 26th 2023, an announcement ceremony will be held at the American University in Cairo (AUC). The first Liu Shiming Scholar at AUC will be revealed during the event, along with the donation of sculpture “Silk Road” by the renowned Chinese sculptor, Liu Shiming.
The Liu Shiming Scholars Fund established at AUC earlier in July 2022 will support an undergraduate student majoring in visual arts, graphic design, or cultural studies. The Foundation aims to cultivate a global art discourse recognizing common humanity through partnerships with universities across the Middle East.
